Alex Luttrell

Alex Luttrell (b. 1992) is a composer and saxophonist from Lewisville, TX. He is a co-founder of the Equinox New Music Collective and the New Words//New Music Program. Most recently, Alex was a semi-finalist in the Rapido! Two Week Composition Competition, and his Lightbeams was selected for reading sessions with the Kansas City Symphony and the Amarillo Symphony. Alex holds a BM in Composition from the WTAMU School of Music where he studied with BJ Brooks, and he now attends the UMKC Conservatory where he has studied with Zhou Long, James Mobberley, Chen Yi, Paul Rudy, and Reynold Simpson.
